Jumunjin Breakwater — Where Goblin Met Eun-tak
Jumunjin (Gangneung)

The first time Kim Shin and Ji Eun-tak meet in Goblin happens here, on a narrow concrete breakwater jutting into the East Sea on a windy afternoon. It's the single most iconic Korean drama location of the late 2010s — Eun-tak in her school uniform, the goblin in a long camel coat, a bouquet of flowers in her hand and the boats of Jumunjin harbor framed behind. The scene is so culturally embedded that the local government installed a small plaque and a flower-bouquet sculpture so fans can recreate the shot exactly.
Getting there from Seoul is a half-day commitment. KTX to Gangneung Station, then a 30-40 minute local bus or taxi to Jumunjin port. The breakwater itself is a working part of the harbor, so respect the fishermen, give boats right of way, and keep an eye on the swell — the East Sea is moodier than the Han River. The shot you're chasing faces roughly east, with the row of small fishing boats on your right and the harbor mouth opening to your left.
While you're up there, the rest of Jumunjin is worth a slow afternoon: the morning fish market is one of the most photogenic on the East Coast, the raw-fish restaurants along the wharf are excellent, and the seaside cafés right next to the breakwater pour decent coffee while you defrost from the wind. We'd recommend an overnight in Gangneung — drama pilgrimage in the morning, Gyeongpo Beach sunset in the evening, and the slow KTX home the next day.
